Beth LaGrange is a licensed clinical psychologist, qualified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) instructor, and certified mindfulness meditation teacher. For over a decade, she has worked as a clinical supervisor at the largest correctional facility on Rikers Island. At Rikers, she has led mindfulness and self-care trainings for inmates, mental health staff, and officers. She has worked with the New York State Master Teacher Program, providing an assortment of day-long and multi-week mindfulness trainings, most recently focusing on trauma-sensitive practices for the classroom.
Dr. LaGrange completed specialized training in behavior change facilitation with Judson Brewer and Robin Boudette in 2017 and has since that time worked as an online community facilitator supporting individuals using apps to change their habits around overeating, smoking, and/or anxiety.
In her private practice, she specializes in applying mindfulness practices to facilitate habit change, address anxiety and/or burnout, and help clients optimize their sense of wellbeing and health.
